Este pasado sábado 22 de noviembre se realizó el Clásico a Xela en su versión 22. Este gran evento reunio a más de 280 competidores en la plaza central de la localidad de Jocotenango en donde el señor Alcalde Municipal diera el banderaso de salida a estos aguerridos competidores. |

Costa Rica, 30 de noviembre de 2008. El clima lluvioso imperó en la final del Campeonato Centroamericano de Velocidad 2008 y provocó múltiples percances a lo largo de la competencia que opacaron el Gran Premio Kit. A pesar de las duras condiciones climáticas, miles de costarricenses asistieron a La Guácima a apoyar a sus favoritos. Primer Heat Bajo un fuerte aguacero, dio inicio el primer heat de la competencia. Luego de dos vueltas de reconocimiento, Luis Méndez logró mantener su primera posición en la salida a bordo de su Ford Mustang. Sin embargo, Javier Quirós aprovechó la potencia de su Toyota Supra para sobrepasarlo y tomar la delantera. Después de 13 minutos de competencia, Cromwell Cuestas perdió el control de su Volvo S80 en la entrada a la curva del lago y Carlos Zaid colisionó contra el piloto del Volvo. El aparatoso choque provocó que los oficiales detuvieran la carrera para sacar a los involucrados del trazado. |

 TC250 - HUSQVARNA. The TC 250 is a completely new, revolutionary machine. The biggest innovation is the new 250 cc engine that, at only 22 Kg., is without any shadow of doubt the point of reference for this category.
Compared with the TC 08 engine, the distance between the primary transmission and the centre is decreased by about 16% and the distance between the gearbox and the centre is reduced by about 7%. Length, width and height have been decreased by 13%. The single cylinder water-cooled four-stroke engine features 4 radial valves while bore and stroke are 79 mm and 50.9 mm respectively to give a capacity of 249.5 cc. The engine breathes through four titanium radial valves driven by twin overhead combined chain/gear drive cams. Wet multi-plate clutch, 7 driving plates - 6 driven. Five-speed constant mesh gearbox. Lubrication is taken care of by a dry sump system with rotor pump. The engine and gearbox combined hold approx 0.9l of oil. The TC is kick-started. The frame is completely new, lighter and has a redesigned geometry. All the body panels have been redesigned so as to make the bike especially compact, slim and manageable. The dry weight of the new Husqvarna is only 92 Kg thus adding to its appeal and performance. The rear suspension has a new Soft Damp system with a new leverage ratio, progression curve and decreased frame load. The chain tension effect has been optimised as has the traction. The new aluminium swing arm features an asymmetric geometry extruded box aluminium centre housing the off-set shock absorber. The suspension features new sealed pump Marzocchi 50 mm forks and a new Sachs shock absorber. The brakes discs are of daisy (wave) design. |
